Queen of Versailles Jackie Siegel talks about Celebrity Wife Swap and more!

Recently we sat down with the Queen of Versailles herself, Jackie Siegel, to find out about her home-in-progress Versailles (which will be the biggest home in America) and what’s on the horizon. A more recent project making big news today debuts tonight. Jackie and her husband, Westgate Resort owner David Siegel, will both appear on Celebrity Wife Swap tonight at 10pm on WFTV Channel 9. Here’s sneak preview clip of Jackie and Jeremy at his home in Oklahoma:

Not familiar with the show? Here’s a breakdown from ABC Networks; “Celebrity Wife Swap” features two women of celebrity families trading households, lifestyles and children (but not bedrooms) for one week. During that time, the women – and swapped families – learn what it is like to live in someone else’s shoes, but everything changes during the second half of the week when the women make their own rules and get the chance to run the household their way. At the end of the week, the couples reunite for a raw, honest and highly-charged exchange of views in which they make frank assessments of one another and discuss the experience.

Firstly, Jackie wants everyone to know that Versailles is NOT dead. In fact, construction has resumed and is slated to finish in 2017. “Versailles is fully back on and I’m very excited about it! I would like to do something in the form of a tv show or something, letting the world know that Versailles is going to be finished. When you watch the movie, Queen of Versailles, it kind of left you hanging like maybe it was a dead project or something, but it’s not. We still own it and the King and the Queen are finishing it!”

Among her grand tasklist of projects here is Florida’s film and television industry. “I’ve also been supporting the Florida Film Incentive. I’ve taken a couple of trips up to Tallahassee and went to the Rally in Tally,” she says. “I really think Florida is a great place for the film industry (to be). It not only creates jobs but we have beautiful weather all year round.”

In case you weren’t aware, Film Florida organizes Rally in Tally, an annual event where members of Florida’s film, tv and digital media industries travel to our Capital to educate legislators on the importance of having a financial infrastructure in place to attract jobs from big projects like USA Network’s Burn Notice, Disney’s Tomorrowland and more.
